A brief summary
of RENTAP`s history
1998- Early failed attempts to produce a Predictive algorithm
for Lotteries, regarding the 6/49 type Portuguese National Lotto. It proved impossible to
obtain positive performances in a continuous and sustained basis;
2004- Creation of the pan-European lotto - EUROMILLIONS;
2005- Second attempt to write a Predictive algorithm on lotteries,
based on analysis made in the previous years on tens of thousands of data from
different games of chance. This research proved crucial to the discovery of some
laws, principles and mechanisms involved in randomness, which allowed the
development of a new algorithm, which came to be more efficient than the 1998 version.
The algorithm was given a name: RENTAP
Creation of the logo and label "RENTAP – betting improvement" assigned, from now on, to the predictive algorithm;

2006- Application of the algorithm ("2005 version")
to EUROMILLIONS lottery;
for the first time, it happens the occurrence of regular
and consistently positive, - although modest-, performances between +1% and +2% above
the Reference, during periods of several months;
2009- New version of the algorithm that came to improve the
performance to values around +4% above the Reference;
2011- Amendment of rules of the EUROMILLIONS Lotto: the sub-draw
"LUCKY STARS" changes from a 2/9 type to 2/11 type, which forces RENTAP to the corresponding modification
on its algorithm;
introduction of the 13rd prize and a 2nd raffle per week (tuesday)
2012- Improvements made on RENTAP`s algorithm which produce great impact on average performance,
which rises to approximately +10% above the reference;
Application of the algorithm to a 2nd lotto:
the Portuguese National Lottery TOTOLOTO, revamped, meanwhile by the
management Society into a 5/49 + 1/13 Lotto type;
2013- Improvements made
on algorithm that reveal ineffective;
2014- Algorithm upgrades which reveal ineffective again;
2015- Recovery of "2012 version" algorithm on which were
introduced some improvements, which boosted the average performance to approximately
+10% again like in 2012;
2015- RENTAP stopped to follow the portuguese national lotto "TOTOLOTO" which was replaced by the US lotto "MEGAMILLIONS", a 5/75 +1/15 lotto type. This will show if RENTAP the model is also efficient in different types of lotteries and conditions.

RENTAP is a private research project in mathematics/Stochastics applied to social Lottos, which was started in 2005. Its goals are the following:
- - helping bettors to achieve an higher amount of hits than the expected amount - here called REFERENCE;
- . demonstrate the possibility of prediction random phenomena using Stochastic techniques for this purpose;
- demonstrate that the numbers have different probabilities of being drawn and those probabilities can be calculated via Stochastic techniques;
- demonstrate that through complex mathematical techniques ( RENTAP algorithm) is possible to achieve consistently, an amount of hits higher than the REFERENCE, ie , the amount of hits obtained by the ordinary punter through the "randomly" picking of numbers or by intuition.
Thus, it should be clarified that the project in question and the researcher who work in it do not have any relationship, dependency or connection of any kind with the administration of any of the Lottos under analysis.
It should also be noted that the RENTAP project is totally independent and it is not biased or influenced nor its forecasts by: Sponsorship, Advertising, Donors/Contributors, or any other source of support of its electronic sites.

RENTAP is a mathematical prediction model. It deals with several types of uncertainty.
In most draws presented forecasts are likely to achieve more hits than those expected for that prediction set (REFERENCE), but we can not guarantee it to occur with complete certainty in all drawings.
Although RENTAP algorithms try to incorporate all the variables that are part of a random draw, the authors can not introduce their hand on the wheel and "choose" the "correct" balls. Therefore, we can not guarantee RENTAP gets hits above the REFERENCE in all draws.
