What is the VARIATION (VAR and VAR p)?

"RENTAP is not the system that promises you the jackpot.
It is the system that presents the forecasts before the draw."

WHAT IS THE VARIATION "VAR"?
It's the difference between the average number of hits per draw obtained by the prediction system RENTAP and the REFERENCE value, ie, the average number of hits per draw obtained by the common bettor - that one who does not use mathematical techniques but picks the numbers by intuition ( birth dates, fixed keys, etc.) which, in fact, is the overwhelming majority of punters.

Take a concrete example:

A bettor who submits regularly and randomly 15 numbers (15N) will get on average 1.500 hits per draw.

This is a universal value, ie, any bettor who bets 15N regularly on EURO MILLIONS will check that his performance approaches inevitably of 1.500 hits per draw. "Nobody" can escape this mathematical fate that acts on punters as a sort of "gravitational force".

Take another example:

A bettor who submits regularly and randomly 3 Lucky Stars (3LS) will get on average 0.545 hits per draw.
This is a universal value, that is, any bettor who regularly bets 3LS on EURO MILLIONS will check that his performance approaches inevitably of 0.545 hits per draw. Again, "no one" can escape this mathematical fate.

BUT, IN FACT,  THERE IS A MATHEMATICAL MODEL THAT CAN ESCAPE TO THESE VALUES AND THIS FATALITY!

Actually in 15N, RENTAP does not get, on average, 1.500 hits per draw, but 1.58 hits per draw. That is an increase of +5%;

Where 3LS, RENTAP does not get, on average, 0.545 hits per draw, but 0.570 hits per draw. That is an increase of +4%;

This is of great importance because:

  • the positive VARIATIONS are occurring in the 2 lotos followed by RENTAP - the model - EUROMILLIONS and the portuguese national lotto called TOTOLOTO;
  • the positive VARIATIONS occur in all sets of numbers (5N to 35N and 1MB to 10MB regarding MEGAMILLIONS); (5N to 35N and 2LS to 8LS regarding EUROMILLIONS);
  • the VARIATIONS were not measured after dozens of drawings, but HUNDREDS of drawings, which gives us hope for the first time, we are building an algorithm capable of predicting a random phenomenon  - something never achieved until now!
Really, after hundreds of draws in EUROMILLIONS the performance of RENTAP`s algorithms  continue to show a positive VARIATION in all sets of numbers, comparing with the REFERENCE, ie, the performance of the common punter.
This is crucial, because VARIATION is the main indicator to measure the quality of a mathematical prediction model.
The positive VARIATIONS allows RENTAP followers to get more hits, which means more prizes than the remaining bettors.

RENTAP IS THE ONLY KNOWN AND CREDIBLE PREDICTIVE SYSTEM FOR LOTOS.

It is unknown, at least publicly, any other prediction algorithm that obtains positive VARIATIONS comparing with REFERENCE.
Online there are many "forecasting systems" but none is publishing its predictions, or even its performance.
RENTAP, by contrast, does not hesitate to publish their forecasts two days before the respective draw.
Since the beginning of times, in all man made attempts to construct a prediction algorithm, at some time during the test, sooner or later, usually after just a few dozen of raffles, the Model performance was beginning to approach the value of 0% comparing with the Theoretical Average. When this happens, it means that the bettor has no advantage in follow the predictions of that model!

WHAT IS THE VARIATION "VAR p"?
We have seen that VAR is the measure of performance of RENTAP algorithms compared to the theoretical value or REFERENCE. It tells us how the algorithm is performing comparing with the theoretical averageHowever, it does not allow to compare directly the sets, I mean, it does not tell us whether +80% in 5N is better or worse than +43% in 15N.

For this purpose we need to resort to another measure of profitability: the VAR p.
The VAR p is a pondered profitability measure that compares sets directly to each other, allowing us to determine the best prediction set, taking into account the relationship between the obtained prizes and the amount of bets (or money invested by the gambler).

In summary:
VAR is a statistical measure. Just tell us if and how the algorithm is achieving results above or below the theoretical value for that amount of numbers.
It does not allow to compare the performance of each other.
On the other side, VAR p is a weighted measure that allows players to directly compare the performance of multiple sets with each other.

NEGATIVE Var...IS NOT SO BAD!!!
Wherever possible RENTAP undertake changes in algorithms in order to produce the best possible predictions. In any case, it is possible that during periods of weeks or even months after that changing, algorithms exhibit negative performance in some "sets".
We recall that a bad prediction algorithm is one that, in the long run, has a 0% of Var. This means that the player does not have any advantage in following its predictions.
Therefore, and contrary to what most assume a negative performance can enable us to continue to win cash and prizes in Euromillions.
So those bettors who wish to optimize their strategy should choose the BEST POSITIVE Var and / or the WORST NEGATIVE Var.
In the 1st case bettors must wager the numbers of the respective set; in the 2nd case they should bet the numbers that were out of that prediction set.
